Meetings, Updates, and More!

Updated: Aug 16, 2020

We hope that everyone has had a safe and enjoyable summer so far and that you're preparing for a strong start to the fall 2020 semester! That's exactly what we have been doing here at the Anatomy and Physiology Club, and we are excited to share some news and updates!

The first two APC meetings of the fall semester have been announced and are up on our website to view.

  • The first is an informational meeting for students who are interested in the APC - if you are considering becoming a member or are a new member we invite you to attend to learn about our organization, what we do, and what we have planned! This meeting will take place on August 20 at 7 pm.*

  • The second is our first general body meeting of the semester, where we will go over this semester's programming and organization updates. Members who attend will gain early access to our first few scheduled events! After the formalities of the GBM, we will continue on to host our first clinic of the semester, all about strokes. This meeting will take place on August 27 at 7 pm.*

Coronavirus regulations on campus have made classrooms unavailable for student organizations, and most of our meetings and events will be held virtually for the safety and accessibility of our members. Because of this, we are asking our members to register for any and all meetings and events this semester. This will help with membership point tracking and the distribution of Zoom/Webex virtual meeting links. Information on how to register for events on the website can be found on the Events Page.

Regarding the rest of our fall programming, we have a pretty packed schedule with something going on almost every week! We wanted to keep with our mission of providing educational and explorative experiences for our members while maintaining member involvement. While plans are still being solidified, here are a few things to get excited about:

  • Reading Radiology Scans

  • Stop the Bleed Workshops

  • Suture Clinics

  • Brain Dissections

  • Doctors Without Borders

  • Club Collaborations

  • Professional Guest Speakers

  • And More!

Be aware that in a global pandemic, plans can change abruptly and alterations to our programming are expected. Further event information will be posted to the Event Page of the website in the coming week.

In case you didn't notice - we have updated our website! The new structure and formatting of the site has invited a fresh new look, as well as the optimization of our site's pages and functions. We understand that there may be formatting or technical issues caused by website and computer compatibility - please let us know if you experience any problems with the site.

*This event has been modified. Please see the Events Page for updated event information.

Expect more updates concerning APC policies and programming changes in the future. Look out for news updates on the website, as well as newsletters in your inbox to stay up-to-date. Additionally, follow the Anatomy and Physiology Club on Instagram for meeting and event updates. We are excited to resume club activities, and we hope you are too! Stay healthy and be safe (wear your masks).
